How to use: 

Turn your MIDI Filter off on your electribe: Navigate to MIDI  > MIDI Filter and turn it so you can see the 3 square symboles .

 

Set the same MIDI Channel on the Electribe and in the app. 

 

Make sure you are in PATTERN mode 

 

VST 

 

VST use depends on your DAW and your midi interface:

Here some settings which worked for my setup in Cubase and Reason
 

go to Midi and set:

Input -to- None
Controller -to- None
Output -to- Set your midi interface where your device is hooked up
Midi-Thru -to-  Plugin Host -> Output Device
leave the other option unchecked
